In our mission to better serve the East Chicago community, and in line with our mission and vision, ECUEA has launched a new venture to assist East Chicago community improvement efforts by awarding sponsorship donations.
Sponsorship applicants must be East Chicago residents or organizations, with sponsorship donations being awarded in 2025 and 2026. Applications can be downloaded here in PDF format or picked up at the ECUEA office located at 3733 Main Street between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. In order to be considered, all completed applications must be returned no later than the dates and times listed on the schedule below.
Sponsorship donations will be awarded in amounts no greater than $250.00 per award, and not all applicants are guaranteed awards; however, all applications will be duly reviewed and competitively ranked as to merit for benefit of the East Chicago community. Priority may be given to 501(c)(3) corporations or other charitable organizations.
Each application must have a detailed overview of how the requested funds will impact the community as a whole. At the conclusion of the donation period, a detailed report is required by award winners for review in order to be considered for any sponsorship funds in the future.
All approved applications will be notified via certified mail. Please note that all sponsorship donations can only be awarded to any one resident or organization just once during each 12-month sponsorship period.

Fall Applications – October, 2025
All applicants must submit their request no later than Tuesday, October 14, 2025, before 3:00 p.m. for the fall sponsorship awards.
Spring Applications – April, 2026
The application submission schedule for 2026 begins on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, with applications being submitted no later than Thursday, April 15, 2026, before 3:00 p.m.
